I don't know about you, but I am ready for some comfort food!! This is an easy dish that doesn't require a lot of ingredients! Super simple, yet delicious!!

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 onion, chopped

4 cups chopped cooked chicken

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup milk

1 cup sour cream

1 1/2 cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese, divided

8 frozen biscuits, thawed

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees .

2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook onions until translucent, about 5 minutes.

4. Mix together onions, chicken, soup, milk, sour cream. Pour mixture into baking dish.

5. Bake in the preheated oven until chicken mixture is hot, about 15 minutes.

6. Sprinkle top with 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese; arrange biscuits in a single layer over chicken mixture. Top with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese.

7. Return to oven and bake until chicken mixture is bubbling and the biscuits are golden brown, about 20 more minutes.

* I always make extra biscuits to serve with this dish along with some homemade strawberry jam.

Enjoy!
