This past Christmas my mom had these boards made up with my Grandma's Banana Bread recipe in her handwriting and I LOVE it!!! Such a special gift! In a digital world, it reminds me that it's important to still have some things written out on paper. I sure do miss my Grandma! I'm so thankful to have this hanging in my kitchen!
Grandma's Banana Bread
1/3 cup of butter
3/4 cup of light brown sugar
1 cup mashed bananas
2 egg
1 1/2 cups of flour
1t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I used chocolate chips instead) :)
Cream the butter with sugar. Add the mashed bananas and eggs. Sift the flour with salt and baking soda. Add to the creamed mixture alternating with the ilk. Stir in the nuts (chocolate chips) . Bake in a greased loaf pan in the oven at 350 for an hour. I always double or triple my banana bread recipe because it freezes so well! Enjoy!
Yields 1 loaf
