Hard Cinnamon Candy

The smell of cinnamon quickly takes me back to many Christmas memories. Every year my mom would make cinnamon candy to give to friends and family. After getting married I started making this too! It’s an easy recipe to follow which makes this hard candy a great little gift to share with friends and family for the holidays. Enjoy!
3 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup water
1 t. Lorann Cinnamon Oil
Red Food Coloring
1. Mix the first three ingredients in a large saucepan.
2. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
3. Boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 310F. (I use a candy thermometer.)
4. Remove from heat. After boiling has stopped, stir in flavoring and coloring.
5. Pour onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
6. Cool then break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container.
Makes approximately 2 lbs.
